Overview
ImageSnarfer (“the App”) is published by Deru Kugi Productions (“we,” “us”). This policy explains what the App does and does not do with information on your device.
In short: text recognition runs on your device. We do not operate an account system for the App, and we do not collect personal information through the App for advertising or analytics.
Information the App processes
Images you choose
When you share, pick, paste, or drop an image into ImageSnarfer, that image is used only to recognize text on your device. Recognition uses Apple’s on-device Vision frameworks. We do not upload your images to Deru Kugi Productions servers.
Share extension inbox
If you use the share extension, the image may be written temporarily to an App Group container shared between the extension and the main App so the App can open it. That pending file is removed after it is imported.
Settings
Preferences such as automatic tracking-number selection and a pinned package tracker are stored locally on your device (for example in UserDefaults). They are not sent to us.
Clipboard
If you use Copy, selected text is placed on the system clipboard. If you paste an image from the clipboard, the App reads that image only when you choose to.
What we do not collect
- No Deru Kugi user accounts or sign-in inside ImageSnarfer
- No analytics, advertising, or tracking SDKs from us in the App
- No sale of personal information
Third-party apps you open
Optional features can open other apps (for example Parcel or Deliveries) via URL schemes with a tracking number and optional description you selected. Those apps are controlled by their own developers and privacy policies. ImageSnarfer only launches them when you tap the relevant control, and only if that app is installed.
The system share sheet may send text you selected to another app you choose. That destination app’s policies apply.
Children
The App is a general-purpose utility and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Changes
We may update this policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top will change when we do. Continued use of the App after an update means you accept the revised policy.
